From previous blogs you should remember that thyroid travels around in your blood stream in “cop cars”
and is not active. They call this thyroid T 4 because it has four iodines on its molecule. Also add this; all synthetic thyroid is T4. Natural thyroids from animals have T 4 and T 3. Remember that. So for our three act play we have two characters T4 (hisss hiss booo) and T3 (Yea! Applause).
Act I… You or a patient presents: obese, tired, thin hair, history of depression constipation and is constantly cold when others are fine. Enter Doctor.
“What is wrong and why are you here?”
“I am tired, fat, depressed and have no zest for life”
“How long have you felt this way?”
“Long time”
“Let’s get some lab. Do you have any other problems”? Perplexed (aren’t these enough she thinks)
“No” not wanting to sound like a hypochondriac.
“We will do some tests and have you back in about 10 days.”
Act II. “Good to see you back”
“Most of the lab was fine, you have low thyroid levels though, and how have you been?”
“About the same”
“Well we will start you on some thyroid and see you here in a month ok”?
“Ok” “what is this stuff?
“Its a thyroid drug, it should help, see you in a month. Get this lab test before you come back”. (Majority of doctors write for Synthetic thyroid)
Act III “Got your lab and it is fine”
“Keep the dose the same and let’s get some lab in 6 months”
“Feeling better?”
“Not much”
“Well let’s see what 6 months brings”
“But I am still about the same”
“Well we will see”
“Sometimes it takes a while”

IF THIS HAPPENED TO YOU here is why. The Synthetic thyroid arrived at the cells and was not properly acted upon. It needs to be turned into T3. Refresh your memory: Fluoride, bromine, lack of iodine, stress, chlorine, age, lack of selenium, lack of B vitamins, lack of vitamin A and toxins from your food have all smashed and disrupted your body’s ability to turn the T4 into T3. Oh yes your lab will be normal range because it measures T4. In complicated cases thyroid antibodies can interfere with the manufacture of the total thyroid needed. In some cases your doctor can order T3 levels but they are seldom able to tell you how the whole system is functioning. This is true if you don’t get any better and find your self in the street after the above three-act play.
Check my videos for information on how to proceed. They will explain how to feed your thyroid and how to enhance your Iodine levels.
